How it works
From car licence to Class 1 driver
We arrange your training with our partner training schools and support you from your first form to your first shift.

Apply and check eligibility
Tell us about yourself. We check you meet the requirements, and the finance provider runs its own affordability checks if you want to spread the cost.

Medical and provisional licence
Your LGV medical on form D4 is included. Send it with form D2 to DVLA to add lorry provisional entitlement to your licence.

Theory tests
Module 1 (multiple choice and hazard perception) and Module 2 (Driver CPC case studies), with online revision support.

Practical training and tests
In-cab training on an articulated lorry, the off-road reversing and coupling exercises, then Module 3 (driving test) and Module 4 (CPC practical).

Start work with a partner haulier
Full-time Class 1 work with one of our partner hauliers, for at least 12 months.

Repay over 12 months
If you took the £0 upfront route, you repay the finance provider in monthly instalments over 12 months while you earn.

Your C+E course costs £3,500. That includes your LGV medical, all DVSA test fees, Driver CPC Module 4 and one retest. Pay in full, or start with £0 upfront and spread the cost over 12 months through our finance provider.

HGV training around Leighton Buzzard and Hayes
We take C+E candidates from across the areas served by the Leighton Buzzard and Hayes DVSA lorry test centres, covering Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire and west London. You train with a partner training school close to where you take your test.
